Privacy Policy for Patreon Batch Downloader

Patreon Batch Downloader is a Chrome extension by 6X Studio. Its purpose is to export Patreon posts and creator-owned member-site posts that the user can already access into local offline archive files.

Data Processed

The extension may process the following data in the user's browser:

• URLs entered by the user, opened in the active supported tab, or discovered from supported creator pages.
• Accessible post content, rendered page content, media links, attachment links, titles, author names, publication dates, and visible preview metadata.
• Local HTML or MHTML snapshots and page resources such as images, audio, video, CSS, media files, and attachments needed for offline archives.
• Local task state, settings, archive history, download status, and error logs.
• Chrome download IDs and records created by the extension, used only to open or reveal downloaded files when the user requests it.

How Data Is Used

This data is used only to discover accessible posts, create local offline archive files, save task progress, download selected page resources, and open or reveal downloaded files after user action.

Data Sharing

The extension does not send user data to 6X Studio, developer-operated servers, analytics providers, advertisers, or unrelated third parties. It does not sell user data. It does not use analytics, advertising, telemetry, tracking pixels, cloud storage, remote code, or developer-operated APIs.

Network Requests

When the user starts an export, the extension may request supported Patreon resources, Patreon media CDN resources, or a user-approved creator custom-domain origin to perform the export. These requests are made from the user's browser and are not sent to 6X Studio.

The extension may use the user's existing browser login session when the supported site requires authentication, but it does not read, copy, store, or transmit passwords or authentication credentials to 6X Studio.

Chrome Permissions

• activeTab: reads the current supported tab after user action.
• scripting: injects packaged extension scripts into supported pages after user action.
• pageCapture: saves a user-requested supported post tab as a local MHTML snapshot for offline archiving.
• downloads: saves archive files, MHTML snapshots, media, attachments, reports, and debug logs.
• downloads.open: opens downloaded archive files when requested by the user.
• storage: stores local task progress, settings, archive history, and logs.
• Optional https://*/*: requests permission for the exact HTTPS origin entered or opened by the user, such as Patreon or a creator custom-domain origin, only after the user starts an export.

Data Storage and Control

Task state and archive history are stored locally in chrome.storage.local. Archive files, MHTML snapshots, media, attachments, reports, and debug logs are saved to the user's local Chrome downloads folder.

Users can pause, resume, retry, clear task state, clear archive history, export debug logs, or delete downloaded files from their device.

Access Boundaries

The extension does not bypass paywalls, locked posts, deleted pages, login requirements, membership gates, or site permissions. Locked or preview-only items are skipped or recorded as inaccessible, and only information already visible to the user's browser may be shown in the local queue or archive index.

Limited Use

The extension uses Chrome extension API data only for its user-facing purpose of exporting accessible posts into local offline archives. User data is not transferred to the developer or unrelated third parties, is not used for advertising, and is handled according to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
